Research & Career-Building

Anyone interested in Brown should check out the Population Studies and Training Center (PSTC), Spatial Structures in the Social Sciences (S4) Initiative, and the Data Science Initiative (DSI). The university is also doing some fascinating work in the realms of biostatistics & public health. Faculty at URI’s School of Business have a vested research interest in Innovation, Technology, and Business Analytics, as do professors in Bryant’s Department of Information Systems and Analytics.

Networking Opportunities

Keep an eye on industry announcements—you’ll always be able to visit Boston or NYC for many of the big analytics conferences (e.g. ODSC East). Within the state, you may wish to consider data science & analytics events at URI and Brown (e.g. DSI workshops).
